Building a period of rest into our daily routines, however brief, allows us to better organize, plan and create. An afternoon tea break is one way to punctuate long working hours, sparking joy on especially busy days.
The concept of a lidded tea cup is not new — in fact, cups with lids have been used in traditional Japanese and Chinese tea ceremonies for centuries. By sealing in the hot water and steam, the cup better steeps delicate tea leaves, creating a more fragrant and balanced taste. Once brewed, the lid doubles as a dish to catch the tea bag, keeping work desks or coffee tables tidy.
This ceramic set is designed to both soothe and surprise. A matte interior strikes a muted contrast to the outside color. The clay is treated using a special high-temperature firing method, making the mug and lid more resistant to chipping and staining. A line on the inside indicates the maximum fill level for hot water, thus ensuring an ideal brew every time. The result is a dedicated tea ceremony anywhere — an act that clears space for a deep breath, reflection and joy, always.
Available in a Glossy grey-ish white and matte black.
