Handmade in Hasami, Japan – where ceramics have been the primary craft for the past 400 years – this stackable, modular plate was made from a  unique blend of local stones and potter's clay. The result is a singular piece of pottery designed for everyday use – stain-resistant and highly durable, it has a smooth texture with a glossy finish. Look for the stamped logo on the plate’s base.

Dishwasher and microwave safe, but we recommend handwashing with a mild soap and non-abrasive sponge.
Please Note
Due to the organic nature of this type of porcelain-ware, color variation among different pieces, color unevenness within a single piece, appearance of 'staining' in the glaze, and textural differences are all completely normal and part of its organic aesthetic. These discrepancies are caused by the uncontrollable chemical reaction between the glaze and raw materials during the extreme firing process. Each piece is one of a kind – and is what gives all Hasami Porcelain pieces their unique character.
