Durable Resin Matte Black Serving or Display Bowl
Tina Frey focuses on material and function to produce useful objects. Inspired by the shape-shifting form of an amoeba, this pure black bowl began as a clay sculpture at Frey’s San Francisco studio. A handmade mold was then used to cast the form in food-safe, shatter-resistant resin. Finally, it was sanded by hand to ensure its quality and to create a beautiful matte finish. This painstaking process results in subtle variations that make each bowl unique.
